On grammar, punctuation, and trees in the woods.
The oxford comma is dying. Mostly due to global warming. Also due to invasive species like, “seen’t” and, “gonna” and phrases like, “we be like”
And the sound of a tree falling in the woods… If someone is close enough to hear it, yes. If no one is there to hear the sound does it still make a sound? Yes. I’ve fallen many times with no one around to hear it and I can assure you that I made a sound.
